Why people call us back

Dumpster rental that fits the job, not the other way round

Most people call us in the middle of something stressful — a garage that finally has to be dealt with, a remodel that starts Monday, a parent's house that needs clearing, storm debris piling up after a rough system moves through the Gulf. The last thing you need is a pricing puzzle or a container that turns up two days late.

So we keep it simple. You tell us roughly what you're getting rid of and where it needs to sit. We size it right, quote a flat rate that covers everything, and tell you exactly when our own truck will be there. Then we show up.

Our yard sits on 4824 Pontchartrain Dr on Slidell's north side — close enough to Olde Towne Slidell's narrower blocks that our drivers know them by heart, and close enough to the wider lakefront and rural properties spreading out across the rest of St. Tammany Parish that a fair share of what we haul in any given week comes from well outside a typical in-town lot. From here we run across Slidell and into the neighboring St. Tammany Parish communities, from Pearl River and Eden Isles closest by, out to Covington and Mandeville further west. Our drivers know which in-town blocks need a careful approach, which waterfront driveways need extra care, and how hurricane season or a heavy-rain event changes a delivery plan compared to a standard suburban cleanout.

  • Right-sized advice. We'd rather put you in a 15 than have you pay for air in a 30.
  • Honest weight allowances. Stated in tons on the quote, not buried in terms.
  • Flexible rental periods. Standard is seven days; keep it longer if the job runs on.
  • Proper disposal. Sorted and diverted where possible, Louisiana DEQ solid waste rules respected on every load.

The process

How it works

Four steps, one phone call, no online forms to fight with.

  1. 1

    Call and describe the job

Tell us what you're clearing and where it will sit. We ask a few questions about weight and access, then quote the right container and a flat rate on the spot at (985) 605-7917.

  2. 2

    We deliver fast

Call before noon and we can usually deliver the same day; otherwise it's on the ground the next morning. Our own driver lays boards under the rails and sets it exactly where you want it — you don't even need to be home, just keep the spot clear.

  3. 3

Fill it at your own pace

Standard rental is seven days, and it's easy to extend. Load heavy material flat on the floor, keep everything level with the top rail, and keep banned items out.

  4. 4

    One call and it's gone

Ring us when you're done and we'll send a driver out. We collect, weigh, sort what can be diverted and dispose of the rest properly ourselves. No chasing, no paperwork.

Reviews

What our neighbors say

A sample of the feedback we've had from customers around Slidell and the rest of St. Tammany Parish.

  • Our house is two blocks off Erlanger Street and parking is tight most days. They figured out a placement that never blocked the sidewalk and it sat there through five weeks of a full kitchen tear-out.

Denise M.Olde Towne Slidell — Historic Home Remodel

  • Our lot backs right up to the canal and the driveway is short. Their driver knew exactly how to set the container without blocking dock access. Showed up when they said they would, both times.

Paul R.Eden Isles — Waterfront Remodel

  • We used them clearing out my father's house before selling. Same driver both pickups, flat rate held the whole way through, and nobody had to explain the gate code twice.

The difference

Why Slidell keeps calling Slidell Dumpster Rental Group

  • We answer the phone

You get one of our own people who actually knows the schedule, not a call center reading from a script. Most quotes take under four minutes.

  • One flat rate, all in

Delivery, pickup, a stated weight allowance, disposal and tax are quoted together up front. If the number changes, it's because you asked for something extra.

  • Same-day when you need it

Call before noon on a weekday and there's a good chance we can have a container in your driveway or on your lot the same afternoon. Next morning at the latest.

  • Your driveway is protected

Boards go down under the rails on every residential drop, whether it's a tight block in Olde Towne or a longer driveway out toward Covington, at no charge.

  • Disposed of properly

We sort and divert what we can and follow Louisiana DEQ solid waste rules to the letter, so nothing you hand over turns into someone else's problem.

  • Gulf Coast weather doesn't slow us down

Hurricane season, a tropical downpour, or a bayou that comes up after heavy rain are all part of running trucks around St. Tammany Parish, and our drivers plan around them instead of quietly disappearing when the forecast turns.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you get a dumpster delivered in Slidell?

If you call before about noon on a weekday we can usually deliver the same afternoon, and next-morning is standard the rest of the time. During active hurricane season (June through November) a fast-moving tropical system can occasionally slow a route through St. Tammany Parish, and we'd rather build in an honest extra half-day during a rough weather stretch than promise something our trucks can't deliver safely. Outside of that there's no real seasonal lull — spring and fall keep us busy with remodels and storm cleanup, and the summer and winter months bring their own steady mix of new-construction and cleanout work. If your project has a fixed start date it's worth booking a few days ahead.

What does your flat rate actually include?

Delivery, a standard seven-day rental, pickup, a stated weight allowance in tons, disposal at a permitted facility, and state and local taxes. There's nothing hidden underneath it. The only things that would change your number are keeping the container past the rental period, going over the weight allowance, needing it relocated on site, or putting banned material in it.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Slidell?

Not if it sits on your own driveway or private property, which covers the large majority of our residential drops — no permit is required anywhere we deliver for a container on private land. If the container has to sit on a public street instead, City of Slidell, LA is the office to confirm a temporary right-of-way permit with for an address inside Slidell's city limits. Outside Slidell, each St. Tammany Parish municipality we serve handles its own right-of-way permitting directly, and the genuinely unincorporated communities fall back to St. Tammany Parish Government — see our service area page for the right link per location.

Will the truck damage my driveway?

We lay protective boards under the container rails on every residential delivery at no charge, and our drivers know how to spread the load rather than pivot-turn — that matters just as much on a tight Olde Towne Slidell block as it does on a longer driveway out in Covington or Mandeville. Tell us about the surface and grade and we'll pick a placement that works.

Can you deliver to tight in-town spots or out to the waterfront communities?

Regularly. The blocks around Olde Towne Slidell have narrower streets and tighter parking than a lot of the newer subdivisions we cover, and a delivery to a canal-front lot in Eden Isles or a longer driveway out toward Covington is a normal part of our week. Our drivers know to slow down and place the container carefully rather than force a spot that doesn't work. Tell us the neighborhood when you call and we'll factor it into the delivery.

What happens to dumpster service in bad weather?

We keep running it, as safely as the roads allow. St. Tammany Parish sits on the Gulf Coast, so hurricane season (June through November), heavy rain and localized street or bayou flooding are all real, current scheduling factors, and any of those can occasionally push a delivery back half a day. We'd rather call and reschedule a morning early than have a driver out in unsafe conditions. Outside of active severe weather, Slidell Dumpster Rental Group doesn't slow down — we run year-round across St. Tammany Parish.

What can't I put in the dumpster?

Louisiana restricts a number of materials from ordinary landfill disposal — paint, solvents and oils, tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, propane tanks and gas cylinders, and medical waste among them. Call us and we'll tell you exactly where each of those should go instead, or point you to Louisiana Dept. of Environmental Quality - Solid Waste for the full rules.

How long do I get to keep it?

Seven days comes standard with every rental, which is comfortable for most home cleanouts and single-trade jobs. If you need longer, just say so when you book — extension is easy and we'd far rather extend you than have you rush. Contractors on longer builds usually run a standing swap-out schedule instead.

Do you serve towns outside Slidell?

Yes. We regularly deliver across Pearl River, Eden Isles, Lacombe, Covington, Mandeville, Abita Springs, Madisonville, Goodbee, plus the roads and neighborhoods in between. If you're near the edge of that circle, ring us — we usually make it work.

Can I get a dumpster for concrete, brick or dirt?

Yes, but it needs to be a dedicated clean load in a smaller container — usually a 10 or 15 yard, since heavy material like concrete, brick and fill dirt hits the weight limit long before it fills the box. That comes up constantly here with historic-home renovation work around Olde Towne Slidell and foundation or elevation work out toward Eden Isles and Mandeville — poured footings, block debris and excavated fill dirt are a routine part of the workload. Keeping it separate from mixed debris also means it can go to a recycler rather than the landfill. Never mix concrete with household junk or wood.
