Slidell Dumpster Rental Group owns and operates our own fleet
Slidell Dumpster Rental Group owns and operates our own trucks and roll-off containers out of our yard at 4824 Pontchartrain Dr, Slidell, LA 70458, serving Slidell, Louisiana and the rest of St. Tammany Parish. We do not connect customers with third-party haulers or independent providers. Every container you rent from us is delivered, serviced, collected and disposed of by our own team.
General information only
The content on slidelldumpsterrentalgroup.com — including our guides, blog articles, size charts, weight estimates and location pages — is published for general informational purposes to help you plan and describe your job accurately when you call. It reflects general industry practice around Slidell and St. Tammany Parish, but it is not professional advice, and specific pricing, availability and container terms are confirmed directly with you by our team before delivery.
How local government actually works around Slidell
Slidell is an incorporated city with its own home rule charter, sitting inside St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana -- Louisiana has PARISHES, not counties, and we use that term consistently rather than mislabeling it. St. Tammany Parish's own government is a voter-adopted home rule charter (an elected Parish President and a 14-member Parish Council). Louisiana's local-government shape genuinely varies across the 8 communities we serve — Pearl River, Eden Isles, Lacombe, Covington, Mandeville, Abita Springs, Madisonville and Goodbee — and we disclose each one honestly rather than flattening them into a single shape: Pearl River, Covington, Mandeville, Abita Springs and Madisonville are each their own incorporated municipalities with a complete government of their own — Covington is the parish seat, and Pearl River, Abita Springs and Madisonville operate under Louisiana's Lawrason Act (a mayor and board of aldermen). Eden Isles, Lacombe and Goodbee are the genuine exceptions — real communities that have never incorporated as their own municipality, with no government of their own at all, governed directly by St. Tammany Parish. Neither shape is ever mislabeled here — see the location table on our service area page for each community's real government status and official site.
Regulations change
Permit requirements, right-of-way rules, disposal fees, recycling programs and weather-related road restrictions are set by each municipality, parish or state government, not by us, and they change without notice. Anything we say about them is our general understanding at the time of writing. Always confirm current requirements directly with the relevant authority before you rely on it:
- City of Slidell, LA — permits, right-of-way and City services for Slidell
- St. Tammany Parish Government — parish-level services for genuinely unincorporated communities we serve
- Louisiana Dept. of Environmental Quality - Solid Waste — Louisiana solid waste and hazardous materials regulation
- Louisiana DEQ - Recycling — Louisiana DEQ recycling guidance
- Louisiana Dept. of Transportation & Development (DOTD) — Louisiana road and right-of-way information
- Call Louisiana 811 before you dig — call 811 before any digging
Each municipality listed on our service area page handles its own right-of-way and placement permitting directly — see that page for the specific link per community. Any community listed there may set its own permit or right-of-way rule that differs from Slidell's own — when in doubt, call that community's own office directly rather than assuming our own city's rule applies elsewhere.
Estimates are estimates
Container dimensions, capacities, weight allowances, project sizing guidance and any prices or price ranges shown on this site are approximate, general to the industry, and provided to help you describe your job when you call. Actual debris weights vary enormously with moisture, material and age — storm-soaked roofing debris and waterlogged material in particular. Nothing on this site constitutes a binding quotation. A rate is only binding once it is confirmed directly with you by our team.
Permit and placement responsibility
Unless we specifically agree in writing to secure a permit on your behalf, responsibility for any required placement permit — and for confirming whether one is needed for your address — rests with you, the customer. On private property, no permit is generally required anywhere we deliver; placement on a public street is where a permit most often applies, and which office to contact depends on the specific municipality or parish jurisdiction involved — see the list above.
Gulf Coast hurricane season
St. Tammany Parish sits on the Gulf Coast in a genuine hurricane corridor — the June-through-November Atlantic hurricane season brings tropical systems, heavy rainfall and localized flooding, and that is a genuine, current factor in scheduling here. We will delay or reschedule a delivery, service or pickup ahead of unsafe road or storm conditions where we judge it necessary, and we are not liable for delay caused by severe weather or its aftermath (see our Terms & Conditions, force majeure). This site does not reference any specific historical storm, and nothing here should be read as commentary on any particular past weather event.
Not engineering or safety advice
Guidance on driveway loading, demolition, roof work, mold, asbestos and hazardous materials is general in nature. Structural, environmental and safety questions should be referred to a qualified professional — a structural engineer, a licensed abatement contractor, or your local building department as appropriate. See OSHA for workplace safety requirements, and FEMA - Hurricane & flood preparedness for hurricane and flood preparedness guidance.
