What to expect
Placement, permits and how St. Tammany Parish local government works
On your own driveway or private property, no permit is required anywhere we deliver. If a container needs to sit on a public street instead, each jurisdiction handles that within its own limits — City of Slidell, LA for addresses inside Slidell's own city limits. Louisiana's local-government structure genuinely varies across our service area, and we never flatten it into one shape: five of the eight places we serve — Pearl River, Covington, Mandeville, Abita Springs and Madisonville — are their own incorporated municipalities, each with a complete government of its own sitting inside St. Tammany Parish; Covington is the parish seat, and Pearl River, Abita Springs and Madisonville run under Louisiana's Lawrason Act (a mayor and board of aldermen). Eden Isles, Lacombe and Goodbee are the genuine exceptions: real communities that have never incorporated as their own municipality, with no government of their own at all, governed directly by St. Tammany Parish. See the table above for each location's own link, and see our permits guide for more. If your project involves any digging or footing work, call Call Louisiana 811 before you dig first so underground lines get located before a shovel ever goes in the ground.
St. Tammany Parish's climate genuinely changes the calculus here. The region sits on the Gulf Coast in a real hurricane corridor — the June-through-November hurricane season, heavy rainfall and localized street or bayou flooding — and that is a routine, practical scheduling factor across our whole service area. Any of those can occasionally push a delivery back half a day, and a heavy-rain event can make a low-lying driveway hazardous — tell us if your project is time-sensitive around a forecast and we'll work the schedule around it. Beyond weather, steady renovation work around Slidell and ongoing growth across St. Tammany Parish's north shore keep a predictable share of our schedule booked, so booking a few days ahead during a busy stretch is worth it.
Local knowledge
Why local coverage actually matters
Anyone can put a list of place names on a web page. What makes a difference on delivery day is whether the driver you get has actually been down your street.
Our own drivers know that a narrow Olde Towne Slidell block needs a different placement than a wide-open canal-front lot out toward Eden Isles, and they know how a longer rural driveway into Lacombe or Goodbee differs from a standard in-town homeowner cleanout. They also know what a slow-moving Gulf storm does to a delivery schedule across the region.
That local knowledge is the difference between a container that lands exactly where you want it and a wasted trip.
